The Rex Cassidy Investigators
I refer to this series of novelettes as kid's detective novels for adults. If you liked reading detective novels as a kid, these ones have more mature content.
The Rex Cassidy Investigator series follows the adventures of a group of young detectives from New Zealand, lead by the dynamic Rex Cassidy. They form a private investigation firm in Hollywood USA. Their adventures see them up against all sorts of abominable characters. If you’ve read any of my Mob from TAC books you will find that these are the same characters, but now adults.
I first started writing about the Rex Cassidy Investigators when I was 12 years old and wrote my last one in the mid 90s. They were originally all handwritten on paper and I kept them due to the sentimental value. Years later (around 2010), I became appalled at just how amateurish and badly written they were, but I couldn’t dispose of them, so I started to revamp them, rewriting them in the style that I write now and I am very pleased with what I have come up with, although they really could do with further editing and enhancements which I may do some time soon.
Will I write more RCI adventures? Probably not. These days I prefer to write drama and comedy rather than detective novels. But maybe all it would take to continue would be some inspiration.

1 - The Curse of the Witchdoctor
The Rex Cassidy Investigators must find a gang of poachers in Congo, Africa, under the curse of a maniacal witchdoctor. Everything starts to go wrong, but is that the result of the curse or foul play by the people who don’t want them there?
The RCI must undergo encounters with vicious criminals and wild animals as well as dealing with an unusual drug that makes people violently paranoid.

2 - The Secret of the Devil's Triangle
The Rex Cassidy Investigator’s plane is forced down onto a strange island in the Bermuda Triangle, but what forced them down? Will they find themselves yet further victims of the legendary Devil’s Triangle?
Having to look after their fellow passengers, Rex Cassidy and his fellow investigators find themselves in one desperate situation after the other, having to deal with a gang of dangerous criminals and a man-eating tiger.

4 - The Case of the Cattle Rustlers
Golderado, a town still locked in the 19th century, where horses are the main method of transport and outlaws go about their dirty deeds unhindered.
The Rex Cassidy Investigators must help a young ranch owner deal with a ruthless gang of cattle rustlers led by Fingers McGraw and his two brothers. However, Husk, the local sheriff seems to have no interest in dealing with these criminals.
This does not stop the RCI from doing their job, but Fast Draw McGraw, the fastest gunner in the west, just might.

5 - The Mystery of the Moving Statue
The Rex Cassidy Investigators are on a mission in England to infiltrate a gang of modern-day pirates, led by the infamous Kid and Fingers McGraw.
They must also investigate an even more bizarre case; that of the statue of buccaneer Bjorn Van Heath, which gets off its pedestal some nights and walks around Prindles square.

6 - The Secret of the Phantom Clown

7 - The Case of the Landmark Terrorists

Rex is abandoned up in the Canadian Rockies and finds himself outnumbered by escaped cons, all wanting him dead.
What can the RCI do against such a huge bunch of homicidal maniacs? Hire the A-Team? Well... something close.
