100 reasons I no longer believe - 66

Jesus and God were not sinless

Isaiah 45:7

I form the light and create darkness. I make peace and create evil. I the Lord do all these things.

Joshua 23:15
Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things.

Micah 2:3

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil

There are multiple verses like the ones above.

How is it that Christians cannot see God’s evil in the bible? Why can’t they see Jesus’s clear sins? And those who can see them, try to justify them and employ double standards when it comes to them. God is a very immoral being. Jesus seemed like a good guy but he slipped up a few times.

God’s sins

·       Jealousy/Envy
Exodus 20:5 You shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate

·       Greed
Demands for the best of everything to be sacrificed to him. Demanding all the praise and worship for himself. (you shall worship no other God but me!)

·       Pride
Jer 32:27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?

·       Hate
Psalm 5:5 - The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
Hosea 9:15 - I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings.
Romans 9:13 - As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
Plus many other verses where God hates people because of things they did. (not hating the sin but the sinner!)

·       Wrath/Killing

Genocidal acts against mankind. Striking down people in anger.

Jesus’s sins

·       Stealing – donkey - Matthew 21:1-3
·       Wrath – Rampaging, destroying and violence with a whip  - Matt 21:12-23
·       Disrespecting parents    John 2:4,   Luke 2:41-52
