Danny Franks

Danny Franks was a raw recruit who joined the war against the Krool for the honour of his family after his brother's Ted and Chris were killed senselessly while recruits themselves.

His unit, led by Commander Peck were in a desperate situation, staring death in the face when they were rescued by Bad Company and forced to become part of the unit or be killed.

At first Danny had trouble adjusting to the ruthlessness and cold heartedness of his comrades, but fortunately for him, one of the Bad Company men, Malcolm took him under his wing and helped him to adjust.

Still as their journey continued, Danny began to learn some hard truths about war and those who sent him there. On reaching Sector 8 he was shocked to see that the men there saw him as being no different to any of the other Bad Company men. Then he knew he had become what he thought he never could bec ome. He had become a true member of Bad Company.

Danny had now become a valued member of Bad Company and he survived the final battle at Ararat. Due to the fact that Kano had disappeared and only three of them had survived he took over as leader and went on to recruit 4 more members of Bad Company. He led the search for the monster that was terrorsing the ghetto planets and found it was Kano.

When Bad Company attacked the Krool heart, Danny was forced to merge with the heart and become one with the heart. This ended the Krool war with Danny now controlling the Krool.

However controlling the Krool turned out not to be as simple as expected. Even with him controlling the heart, the Krool were starting to rebel. At this time Kano recruited a new Bad Company and returned to the heart intent on killing it along with Danny. In the end Kano convinced Danny to leave the heart and the two embraced.

Kano then aided Danny and the remaining two members of Bad Company to escape the heart, while Kano remained behind to continue fighting Krool.

After this Danny ended up in a veterans hospital to recover from the war. He was heavily medicated to repress memories of his time on Ararat. Also there were former members of Bad Company who died but are now somehow alive again. 

When Kano reappeared, somehow still alive even though mortally wounded, they headed back to Ararat on a mission to find out what really caused the Krool wars. He, along with his Bad Company mates, discovered the truth but were branded Terrorists by those trying to keep the truth hidden. They then set off on a second mission to find proof of the conspiracy. Kano found the proof but kept it a secret so that Bad Company would remain together on a mission. 

The last we saw of Danny was him and Bad Company continuing on an indefinite mission, not knowing that they had already succeeded in what they had set out to do.
