No amount of prayer or crying out to God stopped me from losing my faith

Matt 7:7

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you

1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Once I realised I no longer believed I went through a harrowing 5 years, regularly crying out to God for help. I got no response. Not so much as a sense of his presence, peace or a boost of faith. Nothing. Thus showing the first verse above to be a lie. And showing that God doesn't actually care as much as he says. 

When I stopped attending church I didn’t get even so much as a phone call from anyone, even though Christians regularly give testimonies of receiving calls from Christian friends who had them on their heart.
