Reason 5

The religion you end up in is most likely the result of the country you live in

There can be little argument that the country and culture you are born in will determine what religion you are most likely to adhere to.

If you're born in Saudi Arabia you are going to be brought up as a Muslim, indoctrinated into it, with little hope of every coming across any Christian to put you on the right path. Even then you will be so indoctrinated you are not going to take any Christian seriously, just as a Christian would never take a Muslim seriously. And even if you were open minded enough you are going to be under the threat of death and violence if you even dare consider converting away from Islam.

So would a just god cast a Muslim, Hindu, Hare Krishna or any other decent person from another religion into hell because they were indoctrinated into it? Would he even penalise an indoctrinated atheist? Remember too, if the bible is to believed, it is God’s will they be born into those families and places to begin with, so he can hardly be angry at that person for holding onto the values they were taught.

Yet the bible still insists Jesus is the only way to God and that all other religions are of the devil. Sorry, but that just doesn’t cut the mustard for me anymore. I can’t believe God would be that stubborn and stupid.
